Fall Car Care Tips With Bret’s Inc

As fall begins in the Puget Sound, it’s time to get your car ready for the rain and cold. Here are 6 car care tips to get your vehicle ready for fall!

  1. Fluid Check: We can give all of your fluids a check to ensure you can get through the fall with fresh fluid.

  2. Lights: Ensure all of the exterior lights are working on your vehicle. With the sun going down sooner, you are more likely to be out driving in the dark.

  3. Preventative Maintenance: Coming in to Bret’s for a preventative maintenance check-up can help you from breakdown or unexpected repair down the road.

  4. Car Wash: It may seem counter-intuitive to get your car washed before the rain starts, but it can help the paint stay and look fresh. With the recent falling ash and dirt from a dry summer, getting a full car scrub down is a great way to start the fall.

  5. Tire Tread: Rainy roads and worn tire tread are not a good combination. Check to see if you need new tires before it becomes unsafe.

  6. Heater and Defroster: Driving with an improperly working heater isn’t fun or safe. Driving with fogged-up windows is an accident waiting to happen. Check front and rear window defrosters to ensure proper working condition. If need be, we can repair your heater and defroster systems.
